Not enough for my taste but worth a look. July 30, 2010 Kristoffer Hernandez (San Antonio,Tx USA) While I was a bit disappointed in this movie it still kept me watching till the end. When the movie began I thought I might have to shut it off and watch some crap on t.v., but as the movie progressed I found myself sitting through it to see where it would go. That being said sadly the movie did not go where I thought it should have. I felt there was not enough information to make a some what interesting story more compelling. While this movie didn't quite deliver for me it is still worth a look for the right price. The sad thing is this could have been a great horror movie, instead it fell way short.
LOTS of plot gaps July 27, 2010 The Tao of Netflix (Washington, DC) As the other reviews indicate, this is generally a very fast paced horror film having a lot more in common with summer blockbusters (think Transformers) than a traditional horror film. Like transformers, the viewer is presented with a plot having a bunch of sequential details that just happen without any underlying logical cause-effect connection. In this case, those non-sequittur leaps happen, somewhat blatantly, but the action is quick enough that the viewer doesn't have time to really think it through. However, if you're able to accelerate your on-the-fly cognition, you may, as I have, found these leaps annoyingly thin. For reasons I can't well articulate, sometimes those leaps are ok, and not a movie killer (probably has something to do with another redeeming quality that makes up for this problem), but I'm having a hard time accepting those failures in this movie. Again, though, if you're in the mood for a sit back, eat popcorn and not think much-type of movie (which I very often am), you might enjoy this film. The production values are high, the crazy Nazi is played by the Inglorious Basters stuffy brit spy guy, and it is fast. I would highly recommend you rent before buying though.
Blood Creek July 21, 2010 John R. Dailey Jr. (Camden, AL) I think this movie is O.K. The topic is good, but the delivery seems a little lacking. The first part started out interesting, but turned out not so good during the later parts of the film. Thanks.
Don't be fooled by medium fans July 12, 2010 MOTORCITYMIKE A smart thing to do when reading these reviews about A Movie or CD you think you might like is to look at the persons other reviews and you will see that they would not have been fans in the first place. One of my favorite horror movies people bashed and when I looked at there other reviews one guy reviewed a salad dressing, and another was for A golfball. Not one review was about any other horror movies, so I would not say there opinion matters. I think that this movie was original and well done. If you watch movies like The Notebook and Meet The Parents, then I would expect you to not like these sort of movies anyway.
Not worth Red Box $1.08 June 27, 2010 gllcanon (Houston, TX) If someone lets you borrow it for free, maybe. Nah, go do something outdoors instead. There are better documentaries on history channel about the Nazi's fascination with the occult. This just didnt do anything for me.
