Amazon.com The final season of Dragon Ball Z picks up where season 8 left off, with Trunks, Gohan, Goten, Vegeta, and Goku fighting to save the universe from the monster Majin Buu. The protracted battle lasts 33 episodes (#254 to #286). Buu has the color and texture of bubble gum: The Saiyans punch him out, blast off limbs, and blow him into smithereens, only to see him return to his original form. Buu also mutates constantly. He fights himself--his "good" side vs. the purely evil one; he grows stronger when he absorbs Goten, Trunks, Gohan, and Piccolo, but somehow gets even stronger when he "de-absorbs" them. The resolution, involving the combined efforts of the Z-fighters, the Kais, and the Namekian Dragon Balls, leaves the filmmakers with nothing to fill the remaining episodes, so they jump the story ahead 10 years. Trunks and Goten are teenagers, Gohan and Videl have a daughter, Pan. Although he's a grandfather, Goku remains as irrepressible and irresponsible as ever. When Mr. Satan organizes another martial arts tournament, Goku enters to take on a mysterious young fighter, then cheerfully abandons his family to train the new champion. It's a weak ending for one of the most popular series in anime history. every one dies in this season September 2, 2010 O. Arias (florida) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
the match ups like super sayin 3 gotenks vs majin buu dont happen because they want to pretend to be weak then make a come back then gotenks picolo get absorbed potera goku and gohan doesn't happen because gohan gets absorbed then kid buu destroys the planet every one dies and goku save lame hercule fat buu and vegita we were waiting all season to see what supreme kai level gohan could do and he dies
It's Dragonball... August 25, 2010 James Du The Marathon Feature almost eliminates the old argument of DBZ dragging on too long with nothing happening by eliminating the OP/ED and recaps. Scenes and dialogue are uncut with original Japanese audio. As with all anime purists, I cannot recommend the English audio in any scenario.
Great! August 9, 2010 C. Andrickson This is exactly what i wanted it comes with the u.s. broadcast versions from when i was a kid but also comes with the original Japanese audio which is great from people who really want to see what the characters are saying.
The Case it comes in is also very nice and keeps the dvds really well protected.
Overall Very Satisfied.
All good things come to an end. July 24, 2010 Luis A. Avila Love DBZ series. Have its high points and low. But all great things come to an end. Love Buu sage. Lots of action, hummor, and sadly Mr Satin is in it. Even though there a series after this GT series is really weak.
Mediocre conclusion to a great series but a must-have item July 7, 2010 G. Bunker (Myrtle Beach, SC USA) The final season in the epic Dragonball Z series, the Majin Buu saga is a great saga up until it's finale. While I personally disliked the way the series tied up, I understand why it tied up the way it did. Whether you agree with the way the series ended or not, however, this is a must-have item. This item is needed to collect the entire nine season series on disc or just to see how the series ends. Absolutely recommend both this series and Dragonball (watched irrespectively).
